Summit Evergreen respects your privacy and treats your personal information very carefully. This document describes what information we collect and what we do with it.
Information We Collect From Users Of Summit Evergreen
We record the following information about our customers (people who use the Summit Evergreen service to contact their clients).
Payment Method Details: We do not collect your credit card number, security code, or expiration date to charge you for your use of Summit Evergreen. We immediately pass this data to our service provider who charges credit cards on our behalf. All communication between you and us and between us and the service provider happens under bank-grade encryption, so that your credit card details cannot be intercepted by anyone.
Personal Information: We record personal information about you, such as your name, your business name, and your business address, for the purpose of providing customer support and operating the Summit Evergreen service. We disclose your business name to clients who you direct us to contact on your behalf, in the ordinary operation of the service. We record your email address for the purpose of supporting your use of Summit Evergreen and allowing you to sign into the service. If you request email from us, for example by joining our newsletter, we will also send you email at your address. You can ask us to stop sending you email at any time — either click the link to do so in any email from us or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Student Information: We record student names and contact details for the purpose of operating the Summit Evergreen service. We do not disclose your client information to anyone, with the following exceptions:
We follow any order to disclose information issued by competent legal authorities.
We will disclose all personal information we have on file about a particular student to that student, their legal representatives, or their legal guardians, if they prove their identity to our satisfaction. We will also correct any information we have on file about them at their request.
Our employees may see your information in the course of operating the service or providing support to you. We keep employees who have access to information to an absolute minimum, educate them properly about their responsibilities in handling your data, and receive contractual promises of strict secrecy from them.
Website Technical Information: Our website stores cookies (small text files) on your computer, to let us know who you are and to provide the Summit Evergreen service to you. Cookies allow us to make sure that only authorized users of accounts are allowed to access them. In addition, we use third-party utilities to track the use of our website — for example, to find which features are most popular or to track the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. We do not attempt to tie this information to you personally, but rather use the aggregate view of large segments of users of our service to improve the service for all users. These third parties are not shown any sensitive data from your account or about your clients.
Information We Collect About Students:
If you are a student of a course hosted on Summit Evergreen, it is because you have signed up for a course owned by one of our paying customers. If you do not wish to participate in the course in the future, please send an email to the owner of the course. If they are not responsive, please send an email to email@example.com and we will ensure that appropriate measures are taken. We will take appropriate action against any customer of ours who uses our service to contact people in an unsolicited or annoying manner. However, as we do not manage any billing systems owned by our customers, we can not offer a refund for any courses or products purchased from our customers.
By communicating, commenting or asking us to contact you, you understand that you are providing this information to us voluntarily and there is a legitimate reason to retain this information for the period required to discharge those obligations mentioned above.
You have the right to ensure:
- we process your data fairly and lawfully within the consent you have provided us.
- your data is accurate
- not excessive
- data is secure.
- have your data updated and amended if it is incorrect, out of date or incomplete.
- restrict the level of processing or automated processing
- know how long we keep your data
- ask us to erase your data at any point and be forgotten.
- ask us to provide details of your personal data we hold.
You can do this by using the Contact Us form. We will of course need to verify your identity before we can speak to you about the data or act on your instructions.
How long do we keep your data
Contact information well be retained for the period of use determined by the Course Owner (GDPR “Collector”). Data deleted by Course Owners are deleted from the Summit Evergreen system.
How your data is protected
This information will be retained online on our website and protected behind our hosting provider’s firewall and other security arrangements. As with any such hosts website there is no absolute guarantee of security. If you feel this not sufficient then please do not provide any personal information or let us know and we will securely dispose the information.
